Wenxiang Caspar Francis

Caspar Francis is an entrepreneur and CEO/Founder of the RAWSPARK GROUP, a 360 multimedia creative agency.

Francis originated from a music background, having produced albums for musicians and bands in 2009. He went on to explore other mediums, including film, broadcasting and events before working in TV production firms including ETC Entertainment & Mediacorp, before settling in Red Bull as their Lead Creative. In 2015, Caspar joined LIVESCAPE, a creative agency working on festivals, events and on ground campaigns.

From the perspective of music, this presentation will highlight current issues in arts education. Links will be considered between music and arts education, and the broader field of research in education. Drawing on the music, writings and practice of the Russian composer and educator Dmitri Kabalevsky, Professor David Forrest will discuss ideas around music and the arts for children. The place of the teacher is discussed along with pedagogical implications in the education and arts policy contexts.
