This talk will examine the various ‘lives’ of photographers and photographs in 19th century Southeast Asia. How do the circulations of people, objects and technology problematise nationally-based histories? And how did photographers and their subjects negotiate questions of identity and citizenship in the context of colonisation? Join us for an evening as we reveal new insights into the significance of Southeast Asia to ‘global’ histories of photography, and the relevance of photography to Southeast Asian art histories.

A panel of three accomplished authors who have lived on several continents and in numerous cultural communities ensures a night of colourful stories. Join Angie, Grace and Seema in a night of readings as they share excerpts from their literary works and answer your questions about writing.

Today's artists are increasingly taking advantage of additional tools such as the Internet, social networks, and other offerings of the digital economy. Such opportunities in the digital era present new challenges though, particularly when it comes to artists' creative rights. In this talk, Professor Irene Calboli will describe these challenges and opportunities, focusing on intellectual property protection.

The LASALLE Show exhibition is an annual exhibition by the final year students from the Diploma, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Arts programmes. Showcasing the works of students from Design, Fine Arts, Film, Media Arts, Dance, Music, Theatre, Art Therapy, and Arts Management, The LASALLE Show exhibition 2019 marks the grand finale of an artistic education in creativity and imagination and the transformation of these young talents into professional artists in the larger creative industries ecosystem.

Trans/Mission invites BA(Hons) Level 3 students from the 8 Schools within LASALLE College of the Arts to share their Final Year (Dissertation) research. With such a platform, we hope to facilitate interdisciplinary exchanges about issues to do with research methodologies, hypotheses and experimentations that shape the students’ practices.

Digital International Creative Arts Therapies Symposium (DICATS) is a free 24-hour global symposium comprising live presentations to showcase innovative usages of digital technologies for art therapy, and experiential activities for local audiences.
