On the Day of Ceremony

What time must I arrive at the Singapore EXPO Hall 3 for the ceremony?

Graduands are advised to arrive punctually by 12 noon, as latecomers will not be admitted. Please refer to Day of Ceremony for more information.

What should I wear on the day of ceremony?

It is compulsory for all graduands to wear the academic gown for the ceremony. Please refer to Academic Gown & Dress Code for more information.

What will the ceremony be like?

The ceremony is a solemn occasion. It presents LASALLE graduands to LASALLE’s Chairman to signify their successful graduation from their programmes. You may view the order of ceremony proceedings here and videos of past years' ceremonies here.

Mobility Challenges

Can there be special arrangements made for my seating arrangement and presentation on stage?

For graduands with mobility challenges (e.g., on own wheelchair, walking stick or with crutches) or graduands who require special assistance going on stage (e.g., hearing or visually impaired), please notify us at the time of registration so that appropriate arrangements can be made prior to the occasion.

Please email convocation@lasalle.edu.sg so that the LASALLE Convocation team can be in touch with you. Depending on the layout of the venue, you may or may not be seated with your coursemates on Convocation Day.

Photographs / Souvenirs

Will there be official photographers to take the graduation photographs? How can I order these photos?

Yes, official professional event photographers will be engaged to take photographs of every graduate. Guests are not allowed to leave their seats to take photos/video inside the theatre during the ceremony. Can I buy a DVD of the Convocation proceedings from LASALLE?

A video recording of the ceremony will be uploaded on YouTube. Subscribe to our channel to be kept updated.

Registration

I am unable to register my attendance online as I do not have access to the website. How else can I register?

Please email us with your full name, passport or NRIC number, Student ID, the course you are graduating from at convocation@lasalle.edu.sg  We will be in touch with you if you have been allocated a seat for the Convocation. 

I was unable to register my attendance in time. Can I still attend the Convocation ceremony?

Sorry, only graduands who respond in time will be able to attend the ceremony. So, please register early to avoid disappointment.

Invitation Cards

How many invitation cards will I be given?

Each registered graduand will receive two (2) complimentary invitation cards. Click here for more details.

I misplaced my invitation cards. Can I get replacements?

Due to the limited seating capacity of the Hall, we are unable to replace your lost invitation cards.

Certificate / Transcripts

May I collect my certificate and​ transcripts before the Convocation?

No. All graduands attending the Convocation Ceremony may only collect their certificates and transcripts on the day itself.

I am unable to attend the Convocation Ceremony. Can my friend collect my certificate and transcripts during the ceremony?

No. Graduands can only collect their own certificate and academic transcripts during the ceremony.

I am unable to attend the Convocation Ceremony. How can I collect my certificate and transcripts?

Collection can be done from 4 September - 20 December 2019 in person at LASALLE College of the Arts, Block E Level 2, Mondays – Fridays, 9am – 5pm. Please bring along your NRIC and Student ID for verification purposes.

I am unable to collect my certificate and transcripts in person. Can my friend collect on my behalf?

You are strongly encouraged to collect your certificate in person. If this is not possible, please complete the Collection of Certificate & Transcript – Authorisation Form and nominate a representative to collect on your behalf. He/she must bring your Student ID and his/her NRIC/passport for verification. Collection can be done from 4 September - 20 December 2019, Mondays – Fridays, 9am – 5pm at LASALLE College of the Arts, Block E Level 2.
