Arts managers play a crucial role in the creative industries and undertake diverse responsibilities in supporting artists as well as arts and cultural organisations.

Drawing from the multicultural, multi-ethnic mix of Singapore and London, the new BA (Hons) International Contemporary Dance Practices programme aims to develop independent and experimental portfolio dance artists who are responsive to changes in the global dance industry. The transnational programme is a collaboration between LASALLE and London Contemporary Dance School.

FEMALE Singapore speaks with five students from LASALLE’s McNally School of Fine Arts — Hee Ker Ru, Supassara Ho, Lucas Tan, Qalisha Fariq and Elisa Tan — about what they love most about studying art, the misconceptions they encounter about arts students, the challenges they face and what they hope to do after graduation.

The multidisciplinary public arts festival ARTWALK will return to the vibrant streets of Little India and Katong-Joo Chiat from 19 to 28 January 2024. Part of Singapore Art Week, ARTWALK 2024 will explore the theme of Decennial to commemorate 10 years of the festival, which has grown to be a beloved staple of the circuit since its first iteration in 2015.
