Open House Boot Camp: Design 360° workshop

Type

Workshop

Participants will learn a foundational understanding of the seven design principles to create visual works for their portfolio. Using a range of drawing media and techniques, you will create three visuals combining unusual elements of the everyday. The visual works will be created through the application of synthetic tools from the combination of collage and mixed media. A template will be provided by the trainer while the creative concept is developed by participants themselves.

Lianhe Zaobao: Entrepreneurship before graduation

LASALLE’s Programme for LASALLE Creative Entrepreneurs (PLACE) is a creative entrepreneurship programme by the Faculty of Design. It mentors fresh graduates or students to develop their ideas into ventures that can inspire, help and serve their communities.

One project, Ferticlay, is a new sustainable clay material made of food waste such as ground-up eggshells and nut husks. Ferticlay is founded by BA(Hons) Interior Design graduate Jodie Monteiro, together with NUS student Ong Kok Chung.

Showcasing the works of students from design, fine arts, film, animation, dance, music, theatre and art therapy, The LASALLE Show Exhibition 2022 marks the grand finale of an artistic education in creativity and imagination and the transformation of these young talents into professional artists in the larger creative industries ecosystem.
