Recent changes have significantly impacted humanity, necessitating a rethinking of established ways of living in the world. Individuals and societies are now at a crossroads: are existing practices sufficient to navigate contemporary realities, or must we unlearn previously accepted notions, findings and frameworks to reimagine the future?
What can you do with an arts degree? Mainstream media reports tend to fallback on hard statistics around employment rates and career opportunities, revealing the traditional pragmatism that sees higher education as a means to employment.

The LASALLE Show Exhibition is an annual exhibition by final year students from the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Showcasing the works of students from design, fine arts, film, animation, dance, music, theatre and art therapy, The LASALLE Show Exhibition 2023 marks the grand finale of an artistic education in creativity and imagination and the transformation of these young talents into professional artists in the larger creative industries ecosystem.
This presentation will include interdisciplinary and collaborative works by students from the Diploma in Dance, Diploma in Broadcast Media and Diploma in Fine Arts.
This year’s graduating films showcase the best fiction and documentary narratives from LASALLE’s BA(Hons) Film programme. AVANT Premiere is a celebration of a multitude of stories ranging from a wide spectrum of landscapes, people and emotions.
In the Mediacorp documentary ‘The Art Scene’, animation lecturer Ang Qing Sheng weighs in on the current cohort of animation storytellers. He talks about how Animation Art students like Class of 2021’s Calleen Koh draw from their own lived experiences to push the boundaries of storytelling.
As the animation industry reaches the pinnacle of its quest for photorealism, a new generation of creative minds is stepping up to usher in an era of both stylistic and narrative diversity. One of the trailblazers spearheading this cinematic turning point is Domee Shi, Vice-President of Creative at Pixar Animation Studios.
