The eighth edition of popular public art festival ARTWALK returns in 2022 with the theme of Looking Back, Going Forward. For the first time, ARTWALK will be expanding to Katong-Joo Chiat, while continuing to bring to life the rich culture and stories of Little India through multidisciplinary art programmes.

After seven successful years in Little India, the iconic ARTWALK event will expand beyond its home ground for the first time to include Katong-Joo Chiat.

Commissioned by the newly opened GR.ID shopping mall, LASALLE fine arts alumnus Benedict Yu, 25, and fashion designer Joanna Lim, 27, have partnered with five students from other institutions to create Singapore's largest hand-painted mural in a shopping mall. Titled Motherboard, the mural is 29 metres long and 12 metres tall, and took seven months to create.

When Nur Amyra Mawan embarked on a BA(Hons) Interior Design programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, she was interested in how space design can improve both functionality and individual experiences. Her studies, combined with a passion for community, led her to the unusual question: how can we use interior design to help reintegrate ex-offenders into society?

The latest edition of Harper's Bazaar Asia NewGen Fashion Award has just wrapped, with the top prize going to Justin Chua, a recent BA(Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts.
