“Go then if you must, but remember, no matter how foolish your deeds, those who love you will love you still.”

Antigone’s uncle Creon has inherited the throne and issued a royal edict banning the burial of her brother Polyneices, whom he believes was a traitor. Antigone defies the law, buries her brother, and is caught. When Creon locks her away in prison, she kills herself. What does it mean to live without compromise? What does it mean to withstand betraying the trust of others to remain faithful to one’s own soul?

Directed by Ang Gey Pin, devised and performed by the level 2 BA(Hons) Acting students, this cross-disciplinary production explores Noh and Kathakali traditional forms with a Greek classic.

This play is produced in collaboration with students from the Diploma in Theatre Production and Management programme.
