PASTORAL & WELL-BEING SERVICES
At Student Services, we offer one-to-one counselling sessions and support for students who are struggling and experiencing distress in life. Our counsellors (male and female) are located on McNally campus on a scheduled calendar. Counselling sessions can be booked via the online booking system in the Learning Portal or through Student Services at [email protected] or our hotline at 6496 5118.
Student Services staff are bound by the College’s Code of Conduct to create a safe space where students are able to share openly during the counselling session. All information shared will be kept private and confidential except when there is intention of self-harm or harm to others. The College is responsible to inform the relevant person(s) including parent/guardian/next of kin for the personal safety of the student, regardless of age.
Who are in need of counselling?
Students who may experience one of the following examples:
- adjustment issues
- disappointments in life
- financial issues
- grief and bereavement
- peer pressure
- relationship issues
What do you do in an emergency crisis?
If you are facing a crisis and feel that you will harm yourself or others, please call 999 (Police) or check yourself into any A&E department at a local hospital.
At LASALLE College of the Arts, we strive towards building an inclusive learning environment for students with special education needs.
Students are strongly encouraged to share with the college any special needs or assistance required as early as possible at the admission stage so as to allow appropriate support to be provided. Arrangements could be made with the programme and the student on the possible relevant learning support so as to facilitate a conducive learning environment and provide an enriching learning experience for the student. A Student Support Agreement will be drawn up upon mutual understanding and acceptance of the learning support to be provided.
