Mira finds profound joy in helping people enhance a sense of self, build emotional resilience and psychological vitality, and establish healthy social relationships. Through the creative modality of visual arts, she helps individuals who experience emotional and psychological distress, addictions, eating disorders, grief and loss, family conflicts, transitions in life, and mental health issues.
Romny Vandoros
Romny currently lives in Australia, where she works primarily with school leavers and adults with varying physical and cognitive disabilities; and in private practice with young adults, focusing on grief and attachment disruption.
She was part of the Australia and New Zealand Arts Therapy Association's (ANZATA) organising sub-committee for the Kinship Ties of Creativity International Arts Therapy Conference held in Sydney in 2013.
Siow Tze Tjuin
Tze Tjuin (Tjuin) is currently an Art Therapist with Dover Park Hospice. She has a keen interest to enhance quality of life in patients who have terminal illnesses in working through their end-of-life issues and bereavement support for families.
Tjuin has worked with a wide range of patients, ranging from children to geriatric patients with issues including medical trauma, abuse and mental illness. She has practiced at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Changi General Hospital as well as in community care.
Huma Durrani
Huma’s passion for art, together with a keen interest in psychology, led her to pursue a Masters in Art Therapy from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2011. Prior to this, Huma was practising as an educational therapist working with children with learning difficulties – an area that became close to her heart upon her son’s diagnosis of autism.
The inherent healing potential contained within creative expression continues to inspire Huma, who now specialises in conducting art therapy with children with a wide range of psycho-emotional issues and learning disabilities.
Faith Tan
Faith, Head of Dance & Theatre at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, has big hopes for the annual da:ns festival. By providing a regular platform for both audiences and artists to look forward to, she aims to grow dance audiences, and develop and showcase dance artists.

Sing Lit Comes of Age

From his experience at a recent highly successful poetry reading session, and the formal uptake in creative writing degrees, to the mentorship support now offered more readily by older writers to new, Dr Whetter noted that “Singapore literature has arrived at a stage of maturity that would make the early pioneers proud.”

Starting January 2017, LASALLE College of the Arts will offer the first taught Master’s degree in Creative Writing in Singapore and Southeast Asia. LASALLE Launches Cultural Leaders’ Lab For Experienced Arts Professionals Under The NAC Cultural Fellowship
