Zahrah Jailani wanted a formal education in the arts in order to strengthen her skills as an educator. Despite already obtaining a degree in English Literature, as well as having prior experience as a teacher, she enrolled into LASALLE's BA(Hons) Musical Theatre programme as a mature student.
She discussed how an arts education challenged her, as well as helped her grow into a more empathetic individual. Equipped with new skills and tools, Zahrah is now a primary school teacher, helping children gain confidence with their reading, writing and speech. She is also preparing to make a stage comeback at the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2022.
