Eco, green and sustainable are more than just buzz words today – they are major and real concerns on the minds of many especially within the fashion industry, given their rapid seasonal cycles. While applause should be given to global brands which have made the move to incorporate more environmentally-friendly practices, industry experts such as LASALLE’s Head of School of Fashion, Circe Henestrosa, caution that an overhaul of industry practices will be long and arduous. The demand side of the equation is also another issue to tackle and will require consumers to take a long, hard look at their spending habits and lifestyle choices.
