In a three-part series that catalogues street art of Singapore’s heritage districts, the spotlight shines upon Little India. All ten of the recommended wall murals hail from an on-going annual project, ARTWALK Little India, that is jointly co-organised by LASALLE’s BA(Hons) Arts Management students and the Singapore Tourism Board. As the brainchild of LASALLE’s Senior Fellow Milenko Prvacki, he discussed how the event has grown from strength to strength, and is most proud “of the fact that we are continuing to attract, inform and entertain both tourists and locals.” A spokesperson for the Little India Shopkeepers & Heritage Association confirms this, citing increasing visitorship to the heritage precinct year-on-year.
