Some kind of happy

Placed in opposition to an overt expression of excitement and delight, Some kind of happy conjures an understated feeling of bliss. Whether externally expressed as a reply to how one is feeling, or an internally felt sensation when encountering something that gives pleasure, it invokes an overall positive note.

The artworks shown in this exhibition intends to elicit these quiet nuanced perceptions of happiness, pleasure and hope. Ranging from mediums that are more materially tangible to those that are ephemeral, the prints, objects, paintings, sound work and installation are a result of our current Diploma, BA(Hons) and MA Fine Arts students’ studio practice and processes.
