PUBLIC BURSARIES
Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy
Administered by Yayasan Mendaki, the Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (TTFS) is for Singaporean Malay students who are pursuing their first full-time Diploma or BA(Hons) studies under the MOE Tuition Grant. Those with Malay as their first component race of a double-barrelled race (ie. Malay-Indian or Malay-Chinese) are also eligible for the scheme. The TTFS covers only tuition fees (either in full or partially). Students are liable for the balance of tuition fees (if applicable) as well as miscellaneous costs, student insurance and art materials.
Sivadas – HEB (Hindu Endowment Board) Tertiary Fund
The Sivadas – HEB (Hindu Endowment Board) Tertiary Fund provides financial assistance to Singaporean or Permanent Residents Hindu students from low-income families who are pursuing tertiary education.
LBKM Bursary
Awarded by the Lembaga Biasiswa Kenangan Maulaud (LBKM), applications for bursaries open every June for Diploma or BA(Hons) students.
AMP Education Bursary
Awarded by the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), this bursary is open to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents pursuing full-time Diploma or BA(Hons) studies at LASALLE.
Singapore Buddhist Education Lodge Bursary
This one-year bursary offered by the Singapore Buddhist Lodge Education Foundation is open to all students pursing Diploma or BA(Hons) studies at LASALLE.
CDAC Youth Empowerment and Aspiration Programme (YEAP)
The Youth Empowerment and Aspiration Programme (YEAP) supports less privileged full-time post-secondary students, not only in their educational expenses through the YEAP Grant but also encourages them to pursue their passion, provides them with exposure to real work environment, and develops their life skills through YEAP Inspire.
Singapore Indian Education Trust (SIET) Bursary Awards
SIET grants bursaries to deserving full-time students who are experiencing financial difficulties. All full-time students have to be currently enrolled in a government post-secondary institutions. Applications are now open until 15 October 2020.
Temporary Relief Fund
This fund is for lower- and middle-income Singaporeans affected by the economic impact of COVID-19 who need immediate financial help with basic living expenses. Applications open from 1 – 30 Apr 2020 at all 24 SSOs and 108 Community Centres.
The Courage Fund COVID-19 Relief Schemes
The Courage Fund was first established in 2003 when Singapore was hit by the SARS outbreak. Fellow Singaporeans donated generously to the Fund to support those who were affected by the outbreak. In this same spirit of uniting the community to support one another through difficult times, Community Chest is rallying the community to provide relief and support to those affected by the current COVID-19 situation.
COVID-19 Support Grant
This fund is for Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents, aged 16 years and above, who are presently unemployed due to retrenchment or contract termination as a result of the economic impact of COVID-19.
NTUC Care Fund (COVID-19)
In view of the economic uncertainties that was brought about by the COVID-19 outbreak, U Care Fund will be rolling out the NTUC Care Fund (COVID-19) for union members who face financial distress during this challenging period.

The Lee Foundation
As a student of the arts, you may apply for a grant from one of Singapore’s most established philanthropic organisations, The Lee Foundation. For more information and to apply, contact (+65) 6535 4055/ 6535 7355.
The Shaw Foundation
Among the strongest supporters of the arts, The Shaw Foundation offers grants of varying amounts to students like yourself. For more information and to apply, call (+65) 6235 2077.
Loans
CPF Education Loan Scheme
The CPF Education Loan Scheme is a loan scheme where the total amount withdrawn for tuition fees plus accrued interest has to be repaid in full with cash. Repayment will start one year after date of graduation or date of leaving the institution, whichever is earlier.
Students taking a full-time government subsidised course leading to a Diploma or Degree may apply for a loan from your own or your parent’s CPF savings to pay your tuition fees.

Mendaki Study Loan
As a Muslim student, you may be eligible for the Loan for Fine Arts. This interest-free loan is open if you are pursuing a full-time Diploma course. For more information, visit the website or call 6245 5817.
Bank Education Loan
Students can approach any of the commercial banks in Singapore which offer education loan packages. Without obligation, we are providing the following three which you may want to consider:
Post-Secondary Education Assistance (PSEA) Scheme
As part of the Singapore Government’s efforts to encourage every Singaporean to complete his Post-Secondary Education, the PSEA scheme is open automatically to all eligible Singaporeans. Students can withdraw the PSEA funds by submitting the Ad Hoc Application for use of Post-Secondary Education Account Form to the Division of Finance located at Blk E Level 2.
