In partnership with Singapore Fashion Week, LASALLE presented the inaugural Fashion Talks Series from 13 to 15 May 2015.
This series of thought-leadership and industry talks opened with a bang, as fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg took to the stage to speak about the creation of her legendary wrap dress, the phenomenal growth of the DvF brand, opportunities available to young designers now and how to navigate the road to success.
The Fashion Talks Series continued with a lively dialogue between Buro24/7 founder Miroslava Duma and acclaimed Australian fashion designer Dion Lee, who discussed the growing power, impact and influence of social media on the global fashion industry. International designer Thakoon Panichgul concluded the series in a talk which explored his aesthetic identity and celebrated 10 years of his brand, Thakoon.
