The LASALLE Show is an annual vibrant showcase of the best and brightest works in contemporary arts, design and performance. A celebration of the graduating cohort’s creativity and boundless imagination.

Over 600 works are unveiled at The LASALLE Show Exhibition by graduands from the Diploma, BA (Hons) and postgraduate programmes in design, fine arts, film, animation, dance, music, theatre, art therapy and creative writing.

It is now 17 years after the nuclear holocaust. A group of survivors has formed a peaceful commune living off some warehouses filled with tin cans of food. A stranger is warmly welcomed into their midst, but when one of the group drops dead, old ideals are challenged.

Once on This Island is a coming-of-age one-act stage musical with a book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty. It tells the story of a peasant girl in the French Antilles who falls in love with a rich boy and makes a deal with the gods to save his life.

Trans/Mission invites BA (Hons) Year 3 students from the eight Schools within LASALLE College of the Arts to share their final year dissertation research. The platform hopes to facilitate interdisciplinary exchanges about issues to do with research methodologies, hypotheses and experimentations that shape the students’ practices.

Terence Lau

Terence Lau is a technical theatre professional and educator with over two decades of active engagement in Singapore’s theatre and dance scene. With a strong passion for both the arts and education, Terence has worked with several renowned arts companies, including T.H.E. Dance Company, The Necessary Stage, Wild Rice, Pangdemonium, Dream Academy, TENG Ensemble, Sing’Theatre and SLO.

Prior to joining LASALLE, he worked at The Substation as a technical manager, NUS University Cultural Centre as a production co-ordinator/AV head and ITE College Central as a senior lecturer.

What to expect in LASALLE: BA (Hons) Acting

The acting bug bit LASALLE's BA (Hons) Acting student Fahim Murshed early in life. Just eight-years-old then, he had stared down at the audience in his primary school’s hall, clad in fuzzy ears as a Mouse in a school play, and felt an incredible rush. “I think I spent my entire childhood searching for that same feeling in everything I did,” Fahim admits candidly. But accompanying this burst of creative passion was a lingering sense of insecurity and restlessness – what did it take to become a professional performer?
