Acting
Develop your voice, body and imagination as a performer through practical exercises. You will practise acting techniques, respond to scripts and develop collaborative performance skills as you work on a variety of scenes. This course will help you to recognise and free up habitual patterns that impede flexibility and expression.
About the trainer
Darren Guo is an accomplished actor and theatre artist with a wealth of experience and training in the field. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Theatre Arts from the University of Essex – East 15 Acting School and a Diploma in Theatre (English Drama) from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. With a diverse repertoire, Darren has graced the stage in various productions, collaborating with renowned directors and companies like GroundZ-0, The Finger Players, Emergency Shelter, and The Theatre Practice. In addition to his acting skills, Darren is proficient in puppetry, stage combat, and basic parkour. He has received several accolades, including Best Director at the Short + Sweet Festival (Singapore) 2009 and Best Ensemble at The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards 2018.
