ARTWALK Little India’s first international collaboration has been revealed on the facade of Broadway Hotel at Serangoon Road. Standing at a magnificent seven-storeys tall, this mural is the work of Indian artist Bhajju Shyam and Singaporean artist Sam Lo. Alongside their creation, five other works were also unveiled within the heritage precinct. They include a mural by Khairulddin Wahab, who combined input from 50 members of the Little India and migrant worker community to create a community wall, and an installation by Senior Fellow Milenko Prvacki who wanted to give visitors an opportunity to take photos while maintaining a safe distance. Despite the on-going pandemic, these artists demonstrate their resilience in overcoming limitations.
