BA(Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles alumnus Mazri Ismail mixes masculine and feminine elements, as well as materials and silhouettes, in his designs. His fashion label Maz also specialises in modular garments, where pieces can be worn differently based on how a user manipulates the clothing.

As a fashion designer and entrepreneur, Mazri shared that his greatest challenge was "finding the balance between your aesthetic and what people need.” His designs thus toe the line between being commercially wearable and avant-garde, which explains why a portion of his clients are drag queens, fashionistas and local artists.

Mazri is featured in Rave, a series of videos produced by Singapore Press Holdings in partnership with the Infocomm Media Development Authority which showcases young, up-and-coming fashion designers based in Singapore who are making their mark in the industry.
