Nur Halimah Jasni long harboured the desire to study art at university, and after postponing her plan for several years, she became a student again last August to pursue a BA(Hons) Fine Arts at LASALLE. The art teacher at a secondary school took professional development leave for the duration of her three-year studies.
Halimah plans to return to teaching after graduation, and hopes that the knowledge gained from her further studies can benefit those around her such as her students and others who are interested in drawing.
“I find this pandemic has further increased my desire to continue my studies, and made me think, if not now, when? I just want to learn and improve myself and develop the skills I have,” she says.
