Today’s film and media industries are constantly transforming. Innovative formats and distribution tools are enabling artists and filmmakers to create new audio-visual experiences for diverse audiences.

Disruption explores the creative potential of film and digital media through works by students from LASALLE’s Puttnam School of Film & Animation. Several works envision future worlds populated by imaginary characters. Others demonstrate students’ commitment to social issues, giving voice to marginalised communities and promoting social tolerance and empathy.

To succeed in the fast-changing media industries, students at LASALLE employ a diverse range of established and emerging technologies across a variety of disciplines. This exhibition not only demonstrates students’ understanding of the impact of these technologies on art and culture, but their critical role in addressing urgent social issues.
