Lunchtime Concert Series: Håla Duett

Håla Duett (pronounced "hhola duet") is a duo composed of drummer Yann Joussein (co-founder of the Coax Collective in Paris) and guitarist Sheik Anorak (founder of Gaffer Records in Lyon). Inspired by repetitive minimalist music and traditional African rhythms, Håla Duett's dreamlike and mesmerising compositions speak of simple but constitutive subjects such as music as a unifying element, and equality between men and women. 

Organised by the School of Contemporary Music, the Lunchtime Concert Series aims to provide a platform for leading creative musical figures from Singapore and overseas. With a focus on showcasing original work, the eclectic curation introduces both hidden and well-known talents to a broad cross section of music students and the general public.
