Ivan has been touring for 20 years and has become an audience favourite at festivals of storytelling, writing, film, poetry and folk music, from Anchorage to Amsterdam and Australia.
Ivan’s 11th book, Tomboy Survival Guide, was named an American Library Association Stonewall Honour Book in 2016. In their native Canada, Ivan was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws at Simon Fraser University for their writing and activism.
