A Good Death follows Dr Leong, a palliative care doctor, as she journeys with her patients through their final days. First staged to critical acclaim as part of Esplanade’s The Studios (2018), the play is the result of a year’s worth of research by playwright Faith Ng and director Chen Yingxuan, who shadowed and interviewed palliative care doctors, nurses and 
specialists, as well as patients and their families. Actor Karen Tan deftly plays up to 17 characters in this sensitive and tender meditation on what it means to lean on one another, even on those you least expect.

The reading will be followed by a Q&A with the playwright, director and actor.
