Lecture / TalkOne of Britain’s most prolific designers and the founder of heralded architecture and design practice, Heatherwick Studio, Thomas Heatherwick delivers a public keynote address as part of the GREAT British Week and Singapore Design Week. With a mission to “bring architecture, design and sculpture together within a single practice”, the Heatherwick Studio’s portfolio includes the astonishing Seed Cathedral for the UK Pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010 and the Nanyang Technological University Learning Hub, Singapore. Following the lecture, Heatherwick will delve into an in-depth discussion with British Council’s Global Head of Architecture, Design & Fashion, Vicky Richardson. The duo will explore the theme of pushing creative boundaries of design. This talk accompanies the exhibition New British Inventors: Inside Heatherwick Studio at the National Design Centre.
