Baby Tropical Lab Exhibition

This exhibition showcases works produced by the participants of Baby Tropical Lab (BTL), a collaborative effort by MOE and LASALLE College of the Arts to provide an immersive art learning experience for Junior College Art Elective Programme students.

BTL is adapted from Tropical Lab—an annual workshop led by Cultural Medallion artist Milenko Prvacki that brings together postgraduate students from some of the world’s leading art institutions to LASALLE for a two-week period of intensive artistic experimentation and research.

This sixth edition of BTL was organised in collaboration with the Singapore Art Museum as programme partner. BTL is held in conjunction with the Singapore Biennale 2019 (SB2019) as one of its education programmes. Students engage in a series of dialogues with artists and curators, as well as visit SB2019 art sites, expanding their understanding of what art is and could be, and opening doors to a deeper appreciation and understanding of art.
