About the trainer
A familiar face in the Singapore arts scene, Bridget Tay wears different hats as an artist, curator and arts educator.

She was a recipient of the LASALLE Scholarship in 2013 and earned her master’s degree in fine arts from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2014. She recently curated and exhibited in EPILOGUE, organised by The Artists Village for Singapore Art Week 2022 as well as Redaction, a group exhibition of paintings for the Substation. Bridget is currently the president of The Artists Village as well as one half of a collective, AVC which is currently exhibiting Synapse Intarsia for Art Encounters.

Bridget’s practice revolves around playing with cliches as commentaries on the sociopolitical landscape of the world and using medium as a message in opposition to states of reality reflected in both art and the physical. Her formal explorations in painting look at the concept of space in conjunction with an expanded field of painting.
