Foundations of Music I & II
Develop and expand your knowledge of music performance skills. Learn how to read music scores, as well as sight read. This course helps to extend your ability to recognise music styles, rhythms and keys, developing a solid music theory foundation to support your music skills.

Foundations of Music I

Pre-requisite: For anyone who has no prior experience and/or are new to playing music or has limited and/or zero understanding of reading music scores, you are required to start with the Pre-Foundation of Music class first.
Foundations of Music II

Pre-requisite: Completion of the Foundations of Music I or have experience in playing music and have understanding of reading music scores. Applicants with no prior experience are encouraged to start from level I.

Prospective students, music enthusiasts, teachers and/or anyone interested in learning music performance skills.
This course is highly recommended for those who do not have any formal music training and/or are considering to apply to LASALLE’s Diploma and BA(Hons) Music programmes. Musicians who have never received formal music theory education and who would like to raise their level of musicianship are welcome too.
