Coming soon! Photography and Southeast Asia: A History

This online course begins with the keywords of ‘photography’ and ‘Southeast Asia’. Join Zhuang Wubin, a Singapore writer who makes photograph, publications and exhibitions, for a course where he draws connections between the two through a series of lectures, open-ended discussions and Q&A sessions.

The course uses photography as a medium to experience and understand different aspects of Southeast Asia – from the intimacy of family photographs (cultures) to the social histories of Singapore and Malaya (histories), from the effects of colonialism and nationalism to the imagining of ethnicity (politics).

Trainer: Zhuang Wubin

Note: Course trainers are, on occasion, subject to change with short notice.
