Executive (Scholarships and Financial Assistance)

The Division of Student Administration is seeking a highly driven individual with a passion for the arts and arts education to join us as an executive to work with the Assistant Manager on the administration of scholarships and financial assistance. This role is employed directly by the University of the Arts Singapore Limited (UAS Ltd). The key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in processing applications of LASALLE-administered scholarships and financial assistance, and government-funded schemes, including the preliminary evaluation of applications.
  • Communicate with students on scholarships and financial assistance application outcomes.
  • Manage over the counter and email enquiries received in the scholarships and financial assistance mailbox. Maintain records of scholarships and bursary applicants and recipients, amount awarded and other relevant information.
  • Assist in monitoring the utilisation of funds and to prepare relevant statistics and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Update the information on scholarships and financial assistance schemes on online platforms such as the College website.
  • Assist in the processing of appeals for financial assistance.
  • Secretariat for divisional meetings, Scholarship and Award Committee and ad-hoc meetings.
  • Assist with College-wide and divisional activities as necessary or assigned such as Convocation, Orientation and Open House.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an established university with two years and above of administrative experience, preferably within a tertiary education environment.
  • Candidates without relevant experience may also apply.
  • Diploma holders with at least five years of relevant work experience may apply.
  • Good interpersonal, communication (written and spoken), organisational and analytical skills. Ability to engage and communicate well with students and other stakeholders.
  • Resourceful, proactive and excellent follow-through capability.
  • Ability to multitask, comfortable working with data and numbers and able to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently within tight deadlines and to produce output of high accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-cultural environment, both within the team and with the various faculties and divisions across the College. Ability to embrace a student-centric service culture.
  • Relevant working experience in administering scholarships and financial assistance will be an added advantage. Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
