MA Art Therapy Scholarship supported by The Ireland Funds Singapore

The MA Art Therapy Scholarship supported by The Ireland Funds Singapore is open to new MA Art Therapy students who have a serious intent to practice as a professional art therapist and give back to the community with their calling and career choice. 

Recipients of this scholarship are required to submit two summary reports (previewed by the MA Art Therapy Programme Leader) on their internship arrangements at the end of each academic year at LASALLE, and their employment status upon their graduation.

Eligibility
  • Singapore citizens and permanent residents
  • Applicants must have been offered a place in the full-time MA Art Therapy programme for August 2024 intake.
  • Gross monthly per capita income (PCI) of S$2,500 and below or gross monthly household income (GHI) of $10,000 and below.
  • Students in receipt of any other scholarships/bursaries/financial aid awarded by external organisations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Assessment criteria
  • Demonstrate serious intent to practice as a professional art therapist and give back to the community with their calling and career choice.
  • Impressive academic record with portfolio/audition/interviews or other criteria as may be laid down from time to time.
  • Outstanding track record and/or relevant experience in chosen field.
  • High level of maturity and strong leadership qualities.
Value and tenure

S$2,500 per semester, capped at a maximum of S$10,000 for the entire MA programme.

Based on students’ financial needs and good academic performance with a GPA of at least 4.0 for each year of study, renewal of this scholarship is reviewed on a yearly basis and covers up to a maximum of two (2) years or the minimum duration required to complete the course, whichever is shorter.

Application is open from 19 January to 15 May 2024 for new students.
