Erzan is an artist and a lecturer in Foundation Studies. He obtained his 
Diploma in Fine Art from LASALLE-SIA, College of the Arts and was awarded the outstanding student award (Fine Art). He pursued his Bachelor's in Contemporary Art with the University of Tasmania and was admitted to the Dean's Roll of Excellence.
 He gained a Master of Fine Art at LASALLE College of the Arts, conferred by The Open University. He received the Philip Morris Art Awards; being one of the finalists representing Singapore in Nokia Art Awards 2000 held in Seoul, South Korea; a recipient of the UOB Painting of the Year award in 2001; and The Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award in 2006. He has actively participated in numerous exhibitions over the years either as an artist, curator or consultant. His current work is about defining the self in the context of abstraction. Other areas of interest include the pedagogy of art education at tertiary level.
