Chen Chin Tyng

Born in Johor, Malaysia, currently settled in Singapore Chen Chin Tyng graduated in Jewellery Design in LASALLE College of the Arts and continued her BA and MA in Gold and Silversmithing from RMIT. She has been lecturing in LASALLE since 1996.
She has 16 years of teaching experience in the Foundation programme in LASALLE. And currently is actively involved in community projects with the Foundation students. These projects include a mural for The Conrad Centennial Singapore Hotel and a sculpture project "Tower of Treats" with National Environment Agency for the Clean and Green Week and the recent Youth Olympic Games 2010 opening performance with fashion students. The community project enriches and empowers students in their learning and has broadened the scope and reputation of the already influential Foundation programme.
