Exhibitions
Access Points and Contact Zones: Encounters through MA Arts and Ecology
30 Oct–10 Nov 2026, 12:00pm–8:00pm
6 Nov, 12:00pm–9:00pm
(closed on Sunday, public holidays and during College closures)
LASALLE’s MA in Arts and Ecology grows from, perches on and hovers above the nexus of various overlapping practices, discipline and concerns.
From textiles to agriculture and biochemistry to shorelines, ecological research—through the idiosyncratic power of imagination that only art thinking can activate—traverses boundaries and opens borders, towards formulating different questions, testing fresh propositions and making better problems that motivate collaborative action.
This open-ended work of re-worlding is always in process (the ends needn’t justify the means) and in progress (the ends needn’t meet the means): its movements are experimental (at times humble and hesitant) and courageous (often driven by curiosity for empathy), with its initiatives crossing lines, shaping lives and drawing alliances anew.
This exhibition stages a timeslice of the encounters that sustained our Class of 2026—Alison Schooling, Kamilya Beisembayeva, and Sim Kim Cheng Uniz—in the company of those who travelled with and follow after their roots, shoots and wades.
Each presented moment is a portal into deeper and wider sets of ecological enquiry that past and current MA Arts and Ecology students continue to commit to create.
Step in and walk with us.
Protocol & Paradox
30 Oct–10 Nov 2026, 12:00pm–8:00pm
5 Nov, 12:00pm–9:00pm
(closed on Sunday, public holidays and during College closures)
Design thrives at the edge of contradiction. Protocol & Paradox explores the friction point between rigid operational systems (protocols) and the fluid, unpredictable nature of human experience (paradoxes).
As global structures grow more automated and complex, design can no longer rely on simple formulas. The MA Design graduate showcase positions the contemporary designer as a critical researcher operating within these systemic tensions.
By embracing algorithmic rules, societal infrastructures and technological frameworks, the graduating cohort uncovers unexpected vulnerabilities to design meaningful interventions for public life.
The exhibition is structured across three research themes: Design For Social Change, Systems Design and Technology and Design Innovation.

Arts Pedagogy Lab 2026
30 Oct–10 Nov 2026, 12:00pm–8:00pm
6 Nov, 12:00pm–9:00pm
(closed on Sunday, public holidays and during College closures)
The MA Arts Pedagogy and Practice is a programme for arts practitioners and educators driven to experiment across disciplines, modalities, and spaces—from formal classrooms to stages and exhibition walls. Each year, a select cohort deepens their skills, poses critical questions and learns to articulate their roles as artist-citizens.
In this exhibition, we present Snapshots—an annual short documentary series capturing the teaching practices and creative journeys of our graduating cohort.
Alongside these films, explore an exhibition of thesis research spanning multidisciplinary fields such as crochet art, theatre arts, comics and street dance, as we celebrate 14 new MA graduates from the Class of 2026.
Join us on 6 November at 7:30pm, where graduating students will share their arts-based thesis research journeys and current students will showcase their first semester creative responses to Associate Professor Teo You Yenn’s book, Unease: Life in Singapore Families. The evening begins in the Brother Joseph McNally Gallery, before moving into the Creative Cube for a performance and artist talkback.
And the rain witnessed…(Epilogue)
MA Fine Arts postgraduate showcase
30 Oct–10 Nov 2026, 12:00pm–8:00pm
5 Nov, 12:00pm–9:00pm
(closed on Sunday, public holidays and during College closures)
Inspired by a quote from Bladerunner (1982), “And the rain witnessed…” speaks of the intersections of time, place, personal histories and even mood in contemporary imagination.
The act of witnessing is oftentimes unspoken, and yet in the year-long research praxis of these artists, these very acts or observation processes are instrumental for them to position themselves in their quest for balance, reflexivity and fictive elements.
The title also signals the undercurrents of hopepunk as a way to embrace the gentleness and the counterpoint to the uncertainty and dystopic situations that we are currently facing.
