Where Worlds Collide
LASALLE's Year 1 BA (Hons) Fine Arts cohort comprises a kaleidoscope of diverse students, each unique and distinct. Despite their differences, they have managed to grow and bond – their individual practices merging and melding to influence each other in novels ways.
The exhibition mixes a variety of media, explored in unconventional ways and explorative visual effects and rich conceptual depth. The works capture the tenacity of the students' spirit, creative fervour of their first semester and their burning desire to create and destroy – as all artists do.

Modular type workshop
Programme Leader Jaygo Bloom will conduct a workshop which celebrates the Bauhaus principles of experimentation and modularity in creative type design. Modular design is an essential component of every young designer's skill set, and understanding modularity will help to reduce complexity and introduce flexibility to one's creativity and design approach.
The workshop will explore modular systems through the medium of collage and create alphabets and limited edition letterforms – combining basic elements, primary shapes and colour paper to create a series of energetic one word posters. The session is aimed at participants who are interested in learning about design principles and who would like to create their own modular personal typeface.

Threads of Thoughts – Making a Fashion Zine
Fashion and zines share a profound connection in their ability to serve as powerful mediums for self-expression and identity exploration. Both domains embody the spirit of creativity, offering avenues to convey personal narratives, perspectives, and unique aesthetics. Zines, short for “fanzines,” are self-published, small-circulation publications often characterized by their raw, do-it-yourself aesthetic, zines are physically crafted through hand-assembly, imbuing them with a personal touch that mirrors the essence of fashion.
In this workshop, you will embark on a journey to create a zine that transcends the boundaries of traditional publications. In your group of two, you will create a zine that responds to the various prompts by your facilitator and produce an A3 size closed-size zine that transforms into a papercoat for the body.
