Lecture / TalkLASALLE’s MA Arts and Ecology puts art in the centre of knowledge-making, solution-creation and community-building.
As the first and only degree in Asia that creates new publics for inclusive and active engagement with sustainability and the environment through practice-based artistic inquiry, we are proud and excited to present an open lecture that demonstrates how art-making and art-thinking shift paradigms and ecologies of planetary care and responsibility.
Learners and practitioners from fields in and beyond the arts are welcome to participate in this important and timely presentation and discussion.
About the speaker
McNally School of Fine Arts alumna Shubigi Rao is an independent artist, writer, and filmmaker.
Shubigi represented Singapore in the 2022 Venice Biennale through her work with histories and lies, literature and violence, ecologies and natural history, libraries and knowledge hierarchies—offering an intimate and honest glimpse into how art intervenes in current climate urgencies.
