The LASALLE Show, TheatreDirected by Matt Grey
Written by by Ariel Dorfman and Tony Kushner
In a war-ravaged village, the men have vanished, leaving behind their mothers, wives and daughters. As the women gather by the river, torn between hope and grief, their silent suffering is shattered when battered bodies begin washing ashore. Faced with brutality, they take a stand against the military in the only way they can. A powerful political allegory set in a nation ruled by a military junta, this play is as relevant today as it has ever been.
Featuring the Year 3 students from the Diploma in Performance programme, in collaboration with the Diploma in Theatre Production and Management programme.
