How do we envision a future—a future that is just, sufficient and inclusive of all?
Grounding the Future emerges as a critical artistic exploration, probing the confluence of ecological consciousness, artistic expression and indigenous wisdom.
Through an array of mediums—fashion design, painting with natural pigments, and field research in Yogyakarta, Indonesia—the artists offer a rich and layered approach to envisioning a collective sustainable future that is firmly rooted in the present moment.
Curated by Dr Wang Ruobing, Grounding the Future is a work-in-progress presentation by the inaugural cohort of LASALLE’s MA Arts and Ecology programme.
The programme will also host a Critical Ecology Tikar Gathering on Saturday 12 April from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The event is free and all are welcome.
