Dance Movement Therapy

This course uses the creative and expressive aspects of body movement and dance to support emotional transformation and integration. Participants will explore new movement patterns for growth and well-being through a mix of taught movement exercises, bodywork, guided improvisation and movement exploration, as well as pair and group activity. Background in dance is not required.

About the trainer
Cerise Tean is a dance movement therapist registered with the Association of Dance Movement Psychotherapy, UK. Her exposure to and training in contemporary dance inspired her to reach out to the community. She has worked with people living with Parkinson’s disease, dementia and stroke, as well as children and young adults with learning disabilities.

Cerise is a founding member of Movemental and continues to work with the young and seniors – enabling them to encounter and navigate various movement techniques that not only enhance body-mind connection, but also celebrate their bodies at different  stages of life.

Note: Course trainers are, on occasion, subject to change with short notice.
