Light, colour and space are the guiding principles of Christoph Dahlhausen’s artistic work.
Both natural and artificial light and the interactions of light with reflective and translucent materials are at the centre of his installations and objects. Light and colour as materials are also reflected in many of the exhibitions curated by Christoph Dahlhausen or become the subject of his publications, as in Lightborn.
As a curator, he has been organising international exhibitions for various institutions since the 1990s. From 2003 to 2019, he ran the exhibition project spaces proximus and raum2810 in Bonn. He was an adjunct professor at the School of Art, RMIT University in Melbourne from 2013 till 2019.
