The seminar explores various NFT marketplaces, different purchasing processes as well as facilitates a hands-on workshop on minting your very own NFT as well as smart contract on a test network. This will be beneficial for those who are curious how collectors and artists are using the marketplaces as well as those who want to familiarise themselves with interactions on the blockchain in a safe and guided environment.
About the speaker
Jonathan Liu is a founding member of NFT Asia – an artist-led non-profit digital collective aimed at uplifting Asian and Asia-based artists. He graduated from London College of Communication with a BA in Photography and currently lectures at LASALLE College of the Arts.
About the seminar series Deep Dive into Emerging Tech
Deep Dive into Emerging Tech is organised by LASALLE’s BA(Hons) Arts Management programme. It consists of four events aiming to explore such emerging technologies as blockchain, NFT and Metaverse to discuss and explore how they challenge, transform and innovate the contemporary arts ecosystem.
