The Straits Times: LASALLE launches new degree programme in music business for would-be agents and managers
LASALLE College of the Arts has launched a new BA (Hons) Music Business programme, the first dedicated music business degree in Singapore focusing on nurturing the next generation of managers, agents and producers.
Dr Venka Purushothaman, Deputy President and Provost of LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore, said: “Singapore is strategically positioned to develop music business professionals and leaders in today’s cross-cultural, multilingual digital economy. With LASALLE’s 40-year expertise in music higher education, industry ties and interdisciplinary collaborations, we are uniquely placed to deliver this first-of-its kind programme to elevate the music industries in Singapore and Asia.”
