Media release: LASALLE College of the Arts ranked by QS within top 100 universities worldwide for Art & Design and Performing Arts

In the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2026, LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE), University of the Arts Singapore, has been ranked 67th globally in the category of Art & Design.

This marks the first time LASALLE has broken into the world top 100 for Art & Design. Since 2021 when the College attained its first QS ranking for Art & Design in the 151–200 band, LASALLE has steadily improved its position year on year. In 2025 it rose to the 101–150 band, and now takes its place among the top 100.

In the category of Performing Arts, LASALLE is ranked within the top 51–100 institutions globally, a distinction it first received in 2024 and has maintained ever since.

“Our historic rise in the QS rankings is a significant achievement not just for LASALLE, but for Singapore. It is a testament to our growth as a global intellectual arts hub and a destination of choice for creative education, which is more important than ever in an era that calls for empathy, courage and audacious imagination,” said Dr Venka Purushothaman, President, LASALLE College of the Arts.
