Event details

This exhibition presents the computational design work of students, alumni, faculty and practitioners from LASALLE’s BA (Hons) Design Communication and MA Design programmes.

Spanning seven years of production and experimentation, TechnoTerra: Archive of the Future stages works across visual systems, electronics, digital fabrication, experimental humanities and systems design.

It traces the experimental arc of computational practices from first-year work to graduate and professional work, positioning them not as records of past inquiry but as prototypes, signals and an archive of future artistic design practice.

At its core, the exhibition advances a larger proposition: that the creative industries are undergoing a fundamental shift, and that designers who think computationally, who engage technology as fluently and critically as any other design material, are equipped to shape a world increasingly structured by digital systems, data, networks and machine intelligence.

This shift has been cultivated at LASALLE over the past seven years, and now sits within the College’s broader digital transformation—a transformation that asks how artistic, design and pedagogical practices can respond critically, imaginatively and responsibly to emerging technological conditions.

Alongside the exhibition, a programme of public workshops, talks and performances will activate the gallery space throughout its run, extending TechnoTerra from a retrospective presentation into a living platform for exchange, experimentation and future-facing design discourse.
