The Division of Student Administration is seeking a highly driven Assistant Manager to play a key role in shaping the College’s overall student experience strategy. As part of the team, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of student life programmes including budget oversight, policy alignment and performance evaluation.

The role involves leading cross-institutional projects and engagement initiatives, while providing administrative and communications support to enhance the overall student experience. This position reports to the Academic Registrar and Director (Student Administration) and the relevant line managers.

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the conceptualisation and development of the annual roadmap for College-wide student life activities including Orientation, Convocation, Student Leadership Programme, community projects and competitions.
  • Oversee operational execution, ensuring that all events align with institutional goals, academic schedules and student engagement objectives.
  • Support the management and monitoring divisional budget allocated for student activities, ensuring prudent resource allocation.
  • Review and ensure compliance with safety protocols, risk management frameworks and relevant legal requirements for all student activities, including off-campus trips.
  • Oversee the student representatives’ portfolio, providing secretariat support for meetings and fostering strong partnerships between students and the College.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for student representatives, student life activities and student development programmes.
  • Develop publicity content to drive student engagement. Coordinate improvement initiatives within the Division, including the development and implementation of process enhancements.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and statistics/data for management review as required.
  • Provide secretariat support for Divisional and ad-hoc meetings.


This role is employed directly by the University of the Arts Singapore Ltd.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an established university with at least seven years of administrative experience within a tertiary education environment.
  • Candidates with less than seven years of relevant experience may be considered for the Senior Executive position.
  • Experience in creative industries, tertiary education, or student support services is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with event experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with proficiency in Mandarin or Malay would be considered an advantage.
  • Proficient in operating with Mac platforms and Microsoft 365.
  • Self-motivated, meticulous, independent and a strong team player.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with local and international students.
  • Customer-service oriented with a student-centric mindset.
  • Appreciation of arts, culture, and youth development through education is an advantage.
