Executive (Payroll, Benefits & Welfare ) (2-year Contract)
The Division of Human Resources & Organisation Development (HR&OD) is seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented individual with a passion for the arts and arts education to join us as Executive, Payroll, Benefits & Welfare.
Reporting to the Director & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Senior Manager, you will be responsible for handling end-to-end payroll administration, staff benefits and welfare administration, and ensuring statutory compliance and audit readiness, supporting HR reporting and process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
This role is employed directly by the University of the Arts Singapore Limited.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage accurate and timely payroll processing and administration for assigned entities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and support financial and audit reporting.
- Administer staff benefits, insurance and welfare programmes, including claims and leave processing.
- Coordinate staff welfare and engagement activities, and manage related logistics.
- Prepare HR reports, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure data confidentiality.
- Review and streamline HR processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Provide assistance in the resolution of system issues related to payroll, leave and claims and ensure prompt follow-up and resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an established university in human resources, business management or a relevant professional HR qualification.
- At least two years or equivalent of relevant experience in supporting compensation and benefits and hands-on experience in payroll administration. Experience in payroll administration for local and international staff will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of payroll policies and local statutory legislations (e.g. Employment Act, CPF and tax legislations).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, able to interpret, organise and present data effectively.
- Meticulous, well-organised, and able to meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a positive work attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- High level of integrity with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality, especially with sensitive information/personal data.
- Service-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse staff and student population.
- Proficient in operating with Mac platforms, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP SuccessFactors payroll software will be an advantage.
