The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a rise in hate crimes against Asian minority communities globally, ranging from harassment to physical violence. People of Asian descent experienced increased racial stigma, discrimination, which in turn resulted in negative impacts on Asian-owned businesses.
Made in Asia™ campaign aims to celebrate the diversity of Asia and empower Asian-owned businesses by highlighting their value and importance. This typography-led campaign draws inspiration from vernacular typography and is designed to be inclusive and reflective of the diverse cultures of Asia. By promoting and supporting Asian-owned businesses, the campaign seeks to combat the discrimination and hate that these communities have experienced.
