Usha Chandradas is a lawyer and arts advocate who combines expertise in law, tax and the visual arts. After beginning her legal career at a major firm, she pursued her passion for the arts with an MA in Asian Art Histories, which led to the co-founding Plural, an online magazine dedicated to contemporary Southeast Asian art. She currently serves as an adjunct associate professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, lecturing on international tax and trading law.

In April 2025, Usha joined the private client and tax team at international law firm Withers in Singapore, where she advises on legal, tax and arts-related matters. As a Nominated Member of Parliament (2023–2025), she has been a strong advocate for the arts, notably proposing a GST exemption on high-value art sales to boost Singapore’s creative economy. Her career reflects a rare blend of legal acumen and cultural leadership.
