Jackson Tan is an award-winning designer and creative director who was named Designer of the Year at Singapore’s President’s Design Award in 2007. He co-founded PHUNK Studio in 1994 and founded BLACK Creative Studio in 2002, leading projects for clients including Apple, DesignSingapore, National Gallery Singapore and Herman Miller. Notable projects include curating CREATIVE©ITIES – Mapping Creativity in Asia-Pacific Today (2013, Taiwan) and directing the brand identity and design for Singapore’s SG50 celebrations (2015). 

In addition to his studio work, Jackson created ART-ZOO, an interactive installation of large-scale inflatable animals that has become a recognised cultural attraction in Singapore and abroad. His practice, spanning design, curation and visual culture, continues to shape Singapore’s creative landscape while building connections across the region.
